Squid with Snow Peas



Ingredients:
1 squid , about 400gm
Some snow peas, cut into half
Carrot, cut into flowers
1 stalk green onions
2 cloves garlic, smashed

Sauce:
2 tbsp soy sauce   
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp black vinegar
2 tsp cornstarch
4 tbsp water

Method:
Clean the squid , and cut into pieces.
Blanch squid in boiling water for about 30 sec. Dish and drain.
Heat up 2 tbsp oil, stir fry garlic, until aromatic.
Add in green onion ( white part only) , carrot and snow peas, cook until the veggies are cooked.
Add in green onion( green part) , stir fry and add in sauce.
Lastly add in cooked squid, cook over high heat , until the sauce thickens.( if the sauce too thick, add more water)
Dish up and serve with white rice.

These are all about duck, you can find duck neck, gizard, blood,feet & etc......
These are sweet potatoes-fries, Taiwan version of french fries...

Your squid dish looks delicious but unfortunately it's too much for my cholesterol. Bet you had a wonderful holiday in Taiwan.

Jeannie, yup, I tried all, except for the duck head.I like the duck tongue.....
As the sweet potatoes fries, nothing special....

Cheah, yes, this time round, I had a chance to visit many places....really had lots of fun.

i hvnt been to taiwan but seen and heard it from blogs that their street food is fabulous, some can be shocking too.. like scorpions.

that's delicious! I didn't dare to fry squid for chinese new year (chao you yu) hehe, so I baked squid instead. your squid stirfry looks really good though, how do you do that scoring thing to make it curl up into nice patterns?

Shu Han, thanks for the reminder,I had change the title....hahaha.I cooked this dish after CNY, so must be safe ar......
Open the squid flat, scoring the inside layer with cleaver or knife, when cooked, they curl up,you'll have nice pattern.If you scoring outer layer, it won't curl.
